came a hot sunday

It's very hot in the valley today.  The grass on the hill is really dry.  

But our silk tree is in bloom and it is so pretty.

A quick quilt I made for a friends new babe.


Not perfectly square, but with a new babe in my house too, I'm just happy to have been able to make anything! Hope she will like it. The centre is an old piece of embroidery. Might have been done by my Nan, but I'm not sure.
